Scarlett Mortgage allows the entry of address in either Canada or the USA where ever addresses are required within the system. What do you do with clients who have foreign addresses? Here we answer this frequently asked question.

Why can't I select a country other than Canada or USA?

This is a limitation of mortgage origination software because it is also a limitation of many lenders' software. We cannot make available addresses that would prevent the lender from properly receiving the file.

How do I fill out the address section?

You will need to fill the address information out with a Canadian or USA address. The accurate address information must then be included in your submission notes to the lender.

If the client has a previous address within Canada or the USA, we recommend using this address.

Will the lender be upset that the application is inaccurate?

Lenders understand that origination software has this limitation and are familiar with receiving the correct address information via submission notes.
