Applicant Portal Overview

When you open the applicant portal within your deal, it will load the Portal page by default. This allows you to see and edit applicant permissions. You can also invite applicant(s) from this tab.

The next tab is the Documents tab. here you can request and review documents. It will load the Subject Property tab by default, but you can visit the document list for each applicant by clicking their name.

The next tab down is the Sign tab. This allows you to create and send document packages for e-signature.

The last tab down is Messaging. If you have the chat function turned on in your profile, this will be available for you to send messages to the applicant(s) via the portal.

Applicant Permissions

You can set the permissions for each applicant within the portal. The permissions are divided into Application Permissions (who can edit this person's details within the application interview) and Document Permissions (who can upload the requested documents for this person).

On this table, the initials of the applicant(s) and the house icon allow you to see at a glance who has permissions for whom under each category.

By default, the primary applicant has both application and document permissions for the subject property. The primary applicant also always has both application and document permissions for themselves.

In this deal example, Paul is our primary applicant. If we click the pencil next to his application or document permissions, we can see that the permissions for his own information and the subject property information are a lighter blue and cannot be unchecked.

To remove the subject property permissions from Paul, we would need to change a different applicant to the primary applicant.

By contrast, Miranda is not the primary applicant, and so the only default permissions for her are her own. We can add or remove permissions for her for both Paul and the subject property.
